2/3 cup flour
1 cup of soda water
1/2 cup cup Corn Starch
1/2 Tsp Salt
1/2 Tsp Pepper
1/4 Tsp 5 Spice Powder
Mix and put aside
1 lb of shrimp 16-20 count cleaned and deveined and with tails on.
Cook the Shrimp
Heat Vegetable oil in a Sauce Pan about 3-4 inches deep.
When hot dip shrimp, one at a time in tempura to coat. Then fry.
When the shrimp is light/golden brown remove from oil and place on paper towel.
Cook the shrimp a second time (yes, a second time).
Again, dip shrimp in tempura and fry again.
Place on paper towels.
6 Tbls of Sesame oil in a bowl
Add 6 Tbls Hoisin Sauce
1 tsp Crushed Red Pepper
1 Tsp Granulated Garlic
Spoon a ladle of sauce on a plate
Place 3-4 shrimp on top of Sauce
Garnish with Fresh Coriander and Sesame seeds
